Over the Easter holidays I worked on the written part of my graded unit. I also spent some time in class on it today before continuing work on my website, using my template to create more pages.
I had created my previous pages using tables, however I decided that tables were outdates and I am now using CSS and HTML div tags to create my site. Although this is a momentary step back, it should allow for the faster creation of pages in the long term and will make the website feel more modern.

Today I used photo editing software to alter the picture content that I intend to use in my site to make it both look more attractive and be suitable for the web. I also completed the layout and filled the content on the home page of my site, however I have yet to introduce any interactivity.
I changed the background of my shop logo because of a suggestion from a classmate. This did prove to be more attractive so I have decided to keep it.

Today I made the sitemap for my project, created a prototype Home page on photoshop and began to produce a template to use throughtout my site. I now know what my layout is, my typography and colour scheme and the layouts of both my menu and shopping cart.

First Blog
Today I carried on with writing my development pro-forma. I answered why I have chosen the units that I have and I began my report on Human Computer Interface.
At this point I have already completed my planning report and decided what kind of shop I will design my website for (Steampunk Merch) I have designed the logo, but have yet to decide on a layout for my site.
As a group we have decided on naming our online shopping mall 'Sahara' as it is the opposite of 'Amazon' and we have also created a rough layout, colour scheme and logo.
